Beverly Schreiber Jacoby, Ph.D., Founder and President of the firm, earned a doctorate in Fine Arts from Harvard University. She is recognized as an authority in the field of Old Masters and is also well known for her knowledge and expertise concerning the contemporary international art market and art industry practices. After working for many years in academia, museums and in the international art business, including Head of Old Master Drawings at Christie's in New York, she founded the company in 1992. She has targeted the firm's growth to the highest tier of the art market and has positioned it to be the premier art consulting firm for clients requiring expert, prompt, and discreet advice on highly valuable fine and decorative arts matters.

Well known for her discoveries and attributions, including recoveries of stolen and long-lost works of art, she has been featured in The New York Times, Bloomberg, Forbes, the Wall Street Journal, Nikkei Newspaper, the Robb Report and Who¹s Who of America. She is a frequent contributor to museum journals and professional publications, including The New York Law Journal, and writes on collecting, valuation and other issues influencing the art market. She has lectured at the Louvre, Harvard, and the Getty Art Museum, has testified in federal court as an expert, has given presentations to underwriters and has taught valuation and the art market to law students. She is an active member of arts organizations, including the Appraisers Association of America, Inc. She is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (FRICS), a member of ArtTable, Inc. and advisor on arts policy for the 14th Congressional District, NY.
